Terms and Conditions
ADVERTISING TERMS
Every banner and landing URL is subject to review prior to being approved to run on the network. Types of advertisements that GAO will not run include:
• Non gaming related advertisements (ex: cell phones, visa cards, insurance, web hosting, etc).
• Narrow interest gaming related advertisements (ex: business opportunities, webmaster services, etc).
• Advertisements that contain strong visual violence, nudity or vulgarity (ex: pimping games).
• Advertisements for MMORPG leveling/gold/item stores or services.
• Visually irritating advertisements (ex: strong flashing, excessive colour changing, etc).
• Gambling advertisements.
GAO operates on a pre-payment basis. Pre-paid funds are added to the client's advertiser account balance. The cost of each valid click delivered to the client is deducted from the client's advertiser account balance.
The minimum payment amount is 50 US Dollars. Volume payment bonuses in the form of additional free account credit are available for payments of 1,000 USD and over.
GAO Publishers may transfer their GAO publisher earnings to their GAO advertiser account, receiving +20% bonus credit regardless of the amount transferred. The minimum transfer amount is 50 US Dollars.
Unused advertising account balances do not expire over time and are refundable with no questions asked. Volume payment bonuses, publisher transfer bonuses, any other bonuses, as well as PayPal or bank payment processing fees will be deducted in event of an unused account balance refund.
Failure to deliver advertising inventory on any given network web site is rare, but may happen due to the web site's overbooking or due to the web site owners' request to block a specific banner from displaying on their web site, or for any other reason. These possible scenarios are outside of GAO control and GAO will not make any extra compensation to the client aside from the abovementioned option of refunding unused advertiser account balance.
Minimum CPC bid on any network site may be changed without notice. If the advertiser's bid is below the site's new minimum bid, the advertisements will not display on that site until the advertiser raises the bid to match or exceed the new minimum bid.
PUBLISHING TERMS
The foundation of any successful partnership is respect. It is the attitude of conduct that we ask publishers to follow to ensure that advertisers get good quality traffic for a good price, which brings them good return on investment and turns them into satisfied long term clients, enabling the network to grow and attract even more advertisers. This approach returns financial benefit to both the publisher and the network, and ensures a lasting and mutually beneficial partnership.
Publishing Rules:
• Publisher's web site must not contain excessive profanity, racism, pornography, illegal information / downloads, or copyrighted content copied without copyright holder's direct or implied permission.
• GAO banners may not be placed on pages that are not directly accessible from main site's navigation structure.
• GAO banners must be separated by at least 20 pixels of space from flash games to avoid accidental clicks.
• GAO banners may not be placed inside self-reloading frames or similar devices unless approved by GAO.
• GAO banners may only be displayed on web pages unless insertion into another medium was approved by GAO.
• Publisher must notify GAO when temporarily or permanently removing one or all of the ad codes from their web site.
• Repeatedly clicking the banners yourself, or asking someone else to do it is prohibited.
• Encouraging site visitors to click GAO banners in any way is prohibited. The exact wording of these phrases may be used: 'please check out our sponsors', 'please support our web site by looking at the advertisements'.
• Partially or fully concealing GAO banners inserted into a web page from visitors' view is prohibited.
• Automated software or scripts that simulate viewing or clicking of GAO banners are strictly prohibited.
• Any practice or action that takes negative advantage of GAO or its publishers or advertisers, or in any way undermines reputation or business of the network is prohibited.
Other Networks and Direct Sales Rules:
• Publisher may not use similar gaming-focused advertising networks to sell advertising space on a web site which has its advertising space being sold by GAO. Publisher may use general content advertising networks, such as Google.
• Publisher may conduct direct advertising sales with their own clients. Entering direct deals with GAO advertisers in order to bypass GAO is prohibited and may result in removal from the network.
• The "Advertise" / "Advertise Here" images attached to GAO banners are optional and may be added/removed upon publisher's request.
If you are unsure whether something is allowed or not, please contact us to clarify.
Publishers receive around 65% of the monies paid to GAO by the advertisers, exact figure depending on purchase volume bonuses received by each advertiser whose ads run on publisher's ad zones. If publisher transfers earnings to their advertiser account with +20% bonus, their money share is effectively around 78%.
Minimum payout amount is 50 US Dollars. Payments are made via PayPal, with no receiving fees. If PayPal does not operate in the publisher's country, bank wire transfer may be utilized at publisher's expense for balances exceeding $1000. The accumulated account balance, if above the minimum payout amount, is paid out during the first several days of each month (ex: January earnings are paid out in first days of February).
Publishers who transfer earnings to their GAO advertiser account with the +20% bonus may opt for automatic monthly transfers, or to have their balance accumulated and transfers/payouts made upon request.
Publishers may block specific advertisements via the publisher account interface. Excessive ad blocking may result in GAO being unable to fill 100% of the publisher's advertising inventory.
